MoveMaster grew out of the ashes of the September 11th aftermath. At the time, many New Yorkers were moving of the Financial District and other parts of NYC to other neighborhoods, and some to the outskirts of the city. While established movers and fly-by-night movers were taking advantage of customers. I saw a need for friendly, discounted moving services to help fellow New Yorkers get the service they needed a completely honest fashion. Since the job market was dismal, and I was looking for a new popportunity, this was the perfect opportunity to create a flat rate moving service. I bought a van and began offering moving services at discounted via Craigslist.org and later through Citymove.com.
After a few months it was obvious that providing fair and honest moving services to clients paid off, and MoveMaster was on its way to becoming one of NYC’s most popular small moving services. At MoveMaster, we believe in a positive customer service experience and sticking to our locked-in flat rates, which further increased our popularity & helped MoveMaster grow into 5 crews of movers with two trucks & three extended vans. When we were featured in the New York Times in 2005 as an honest company with a high level of customer satisfaction, our business grew even more rapidly.
Even in this tough economic climate, MoveMaster is still as popular as ever and we owe this to our repeat clients and generous client referrals—the true sign of a great company.
